An original composition that will be featured on my upcoming album 🎶

About a year ago, Callie Booth and I worked on her animated short 'Kimberley'. Callie is a full time illustrator, with an MA in animation from Sheffield Hallam University, UK. The story is about a little girl pursuing her dreams of becoming an artist. At the time of writing this piece, I was really inspired by the birth of my sister's baby boy. He is the first baby in the family since me (!!), so I spent a lot of time wondering if he would have his own artistic journey as he grew up. The piece was ultimately dedicated to him. I started out with a simple melodic idea on the piano, later adding in strings and celeste. p.s. This video features my cat Leonardo, who really enjoys sleeping on the Nord, regardless of how lumpy it is. He also enjoys trying to attack the cursor, as well as swiping at my project on Logic. He's a real sweetheart :)

10 years ago (on June 18th 2007 to be precise), I uploaded a really simple piano arrangement of Christophe Heral's score to Beyond Good and Evil. At the time, I had no clue if I'd ever see a sequel..but all I know was that the game and music had impacted me in a very deep and meaningful way. To this day, I still get so many lovely messages and comments..and the arrangement itself has led me to so many different musical adventures. I'm eternally grateful to Christophe and to all the BG&E fans for their support. I am in slight shock that the sequel (or more correctly, prequel!) is finally seeing the light of day, and am so happy that Christophe will be at the helm again for the OST. I wanted to re-record my updated arrangement with a slightly better camera and better sound to celebrate yesterday's announcement! This is for Team BGE2 and for all the fans. Thanks for supporting the video after all these years, and I hope you enjoy my new performance. I tried to get it out ASAP, so apologies for any slight mistakes. They say your first take is your best take...so I tried to abide by that philosophy (as I did the for the first arrangement). XXX

This is a short lullaby written for my newborn nephew, Brock. I try and play piano and write music to keep my sanity. This week we strike again for a fair contract; I will be on-call manning the fort on wednesday, whilst they continue to fight for our rights outside of the hospital :)
